Beech Mountain is located in North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains and being at an elevation of 5506 feet causes the weather to be one of the things which sets Beech Mountain apart. It is the highest town in Eastern America featuring 15 trails and 8 lifts. Come during the winter and ski at the ski capital of the South! Come during the summer and escape the heat with temperatures in the 70’s!

Our beautiful condo in the mountains is a large 1000 SF 2 bedroom, 2 full bath (sleeps 6 including the living room sofa bed) located on the 2nd floor. Access to parking area and main clubhouse with indoor heated pool, hot tub, dry sauna, steam room, workout area and more. Cozy up to the wood burning fireplace, cook in the fully equipped kitchen, prepare a drink at the dry bar, and we even have a private laundry room should you need it. Our mountain retreat has a large private balcony with rocking chairs to sit and enjoy views of the Beech Mountain ski slopes and the Mountains of Tennessee and Virginia.
Warning; you will not want to leave this balcony the view is so beautiful!
Pinnacle Inn Resort features a playground for children, private tennis courts, mini-golf and shuffleboard. Ski Beech Resort provides shuttle (weekends only) to Ski Slopes in the winter. Secure code entry for vehicles to access the grounds of the Pinnacle Inn.
The kitchen has pots, pans, silverware, dishes, glassware, brand new full size appliances and granite countertops. We even provide the coffee!
We have flat screen smart TV’s in both bedrooms AND in the living room. Plus internet and cable all included!
Brand new dining room set sits 6. Brand new custom leather living room furniture with queen size sleeper sofa and top of the line gel foam mattress.. Both bedrooms have brand new bed frames, brand new top of the line mattresses (King in master and queen in guest room) and all brand new bedding.

Banner Elk, in Avery County, North Carolina is located in the mountains of western North Carolina and is home to a bustling community filled with High Country activities such as skiing, golfing, hiking, horseback riding, rafting, fishing and more. The amphitheater holds a weekly Summer Concert Series with other festivities on 4th of July, the annual gathering around the campfire in the park in a final farewell to summer celebration, a Spook-tacular event at Halloween, and the annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Caroling.

We are Rick and Sandra and we visited Beech Mountain NC for the first time in 2019 and fell in love. How could it be July and the temperature was only high 70’s, low 60’s? At an elevation of 5506 feet we quickly learned higher elevation equals cooler temperatures! We live in Florida so this weather was a welcome change and perfect way to beat the heat; as well as enjoy the snowy winters.
We fell in love with the town of Beech Mountain and Banner Elk and decided we wanted a vacation home here. Before we left town we found a realtor and got to work. All the drive home we wanted to just turn around and go back to the beautiful weather and peaceful scenery. We chose this 2 bedroom mountain retreat at the Pinnacle Inn because of the outstanding views, all the pleasant people we met, and it’s close proximately to so much to see and do.
We have tried to capture this amazing view of Beech Mountain and Sugar Mountain but pictures just do not do it justice, so you just have to come and see it for yourself! We know you will love rocking on the rocking chairs and enjoying the view from our condo balcony no matter what season it is! It is now our home away from home and we hope you will enjoy it as much as we do AND we hope you will become part of our family and return year after year!
Beech Mountain is not just the ski capital of the south; there is something to do year round. On our first visit we rented UTV’s through the mountain and had a blast! Plus there is so much more to see and do within minutes from the town.
So much to see and do on and around Beech Mountain. We had a blast with our family. We even went tubing down Beech Mountain in the summer! What fun!

Take in the panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains by taking a scenic ski lift ride at the Beech Mountain Resort. This scenic ride is offered during the summer season. At the summit, you can head over to the 5506″ Skybar for a fresh beverage or just take in the amazing views.

In addition to a 43-acre recreational park, Beech Mountain is home to vast scenic views with hiking and mountain biking trails. You can also canoe, swim, golf, and the outdoor adventures go on an on! You cannot do everything there is to do in just one visit so we know you will want to come back again and again.

The Pinnacle Inn does not allow pets on the premises. Bylaws of the Pinnacle Inn Homeowners Association prohibit renters from having pets on the Pinnacle Inn property. Service animals are allowed by Federal Law but therapy animals are not
We supply you with an initial linen and towel set up. We do not have daily maid service. We would recommend bringing beach towels if you plan on using the pool and Jacuzzis as we do not supply beach towels. Paper towels and cleaning supplies are NOT included.
We have a washer and dryer in our unit. You will need to bring laundry detergent, or can purchase at Fred’s General Store right up the road or at Food Lion about 5-7 miles down the road.
We have a 15-day cancellation policy in off season. If you cancel 15 days prior to your arrival date by email by midnight, you will be refunded your advance deposit, minus a $50 cancellation fee (or you can re-book a later date at which time no fees will be charged and this deposit will be kept for the future booking). If you happen to cancel your reservation 15 days or less of your arrival date, your advance deposit will be forfeited entirely. We have a 30-day cancellation policy during peak season. If you cancel 30 days prior to your arrival date by email by midnight, you will be refunded your advance deposit, minus a $75 cancellation fee (or you can re-book a later date at which time no fees will be charged and this deposit will be kept for the future booking). If you happen to cancel your reservation 30 days or less of your arrival date, your advance deposit will be forfeited entirely.
Guaranteed check-in is at 4:00 PM. Check-out is at 10:00 AM. We cannot guarantee an early check-in. We cannot extend check-out times due to the fact the unit must be cleaned and prepared for arriving guests. The Pinnacle Inn Property Management knows you are on the property and will clean and check the property for us upon your 10:00 AM departure.
When booking your reservation, we are making you aware there is a required security/damage deposit. This deposit ensures that if your party damages the condo or property, it is your responsibility to pay for the damages. The security/damage deposit will be in the amount of $300 and will be charged to your card once your final balance for the unit is charged to your credit or debit card. Once we have the key back from you and the property management has informed us the unit is in good condition, we will refund the security/damage deposit. All rental units require a security deposit. The security deposit is for late check-out charges, excessive cleaning charges, phone charges, or damage to the property. The unit will be checked to see if it is free of damages, missing items or needs excessive cleaning including trash being taken out, fridge being emptied, or dishes done. If any of these things or left undone, we will deduct the amount charge to us by the Pinnacle Inn Property Management from your security/damage deposit. Once we have word the unit is in good condition, we will refund the security/damage deposit.
Our condominium is individually owned at the Pinnacle Inn. In an effort to maintain security throughout the property you may notice a peephole or doorbell recording device on our unit you are renting or on other units. This is notification that recording may occur in public areas and will record at our unit door. There are absolutely no cameras inside of our condo.
Our Spring rates typically run from March 15th to May 31st. Summer rates are June 1st to September 14th, Fall rates are September 15th to November 14th. Winter Rates are November 15th to March 14th. Dates and peak season dates are subject to change dependent upon seasonal weather and supply and demand on the mountain.
We do not provide firewood. Firewood may be purchased at the office for $5 per bundle.
The Pinnacle Inn property is located approximately 1.5 miles (5 minute driving time) from the entrance to Ski Beech Resort. Ski Beech does provide weekend shuttle service from Pinnacle Inn. Pinnacle Inn has no control over their scheduled pick up and drop off times. If you have chains, or a 4-wheel drive vehicle, we are an easy 1.5 mile drive to the slopes. Except in the worst storm conditions, the state keeps the main road clear to the ski slopes. ***DAILY SHUTTLE SERVICE PROVIDED DEC 26 – JAN 02. Per Ski Beech and not the Pinnacle Inn or us the owners of our unit, so this is subject to change.
We suggest you rent from Beech Meadows Ski Shop, for the best deals and equipment. The Pinnacle Inn sometimes offer coupons for ski equipment rentals at Beech Meadows Ski Shop. You can also rent skis at Fred’s General, and at the Ski Beech Resort, as well as other local shops in Banner Elk.
We have a full kitchen with all the kitchen set up - we even provide coffee grounds! You would need paper products, food, spices, etc. You can bring it with you or there is a Food Lion approximately 5-7 minutes away. In the winter extra blankets or electric blanket may be something you want to bring too. Paper products, soaps, etc you will need to bring as well.
The Pinnacle Inn does not have a restaurant on the premises, however there are 9 different restaurants located on Beech Mountain within a 3 mile driving radius, and twice as many only minutes away in Banner Elk. Note at different seasons some restaurants may be closed.
If customers can’t find it, it doesn’t exist. Clearly list and describe the services you offer. Also, be sure to showcase a premium service.
Check-in time is 4:00 PM. Check-out time is by 10:00 AM. This is strictly enforced since the unit needs to be cleaned and turned over to arriving guests. Pinnacle Inn Property Management is aware you are there and cleans and inspects the unit, therefore, If you check out late you risk losing your security deposit.
Reservations require a deposit (amount is determined by length of stay) FINAL payment is due either 15 or 30 days prior to arrival by midnight. MasterCard, Visa, American Express, PayPal, and Discover Cards are accepted. No Checks will be accepted. All deposits not given at the time of the booking will lose the booking.
Confirmed reservations are not transferable. If you must cancel your confirmed reservation, regardless of reasons (including weather, illness, or economic factors) 15 or 30 days or less, (depending on the season written in your email notice) YOU WILL FORFEIT YOUR ADVANCE DEPOSIT (FULL AMOUNT). A cancellation made 15 or 30 days or more prior to arrival will be subject to a $50 cancellation fee for off season and 30 Days for peak season unless your rebook your stay with us.
We must ask you to restrict your party to 6 guests maximum. Each room sleeps 2 guests (Master bedroom has a brand-new king-size bed. The guest room has a brand-new queen-size bed and the brand-new leather sofa has a queen size sleeper) each and the sofa bed in the living room sleeps 2 guests for a total of 6 guests. Misrepresentation may result in renters being asked to vacate the property without a refund and the security deposit will be retained.
All Pinnacle Inn Condos are non-smoking units, and this does include the balconies and hallways. If you feel you must smoke, please leave the unit and go outside downstairs to the common areas. Smoking is not allowed on the balcony or outside hallways of this unit. Please be considerate and do not throw your butts on the ground. Properly dispose of your butts. There will be a fine of $250 for cleaning of any smell of smoke in the condo.
The unit will be equipped with one set of linens and towels for 6 guests, plus the initial toilet tissue upon arrival. We do suggest that you bring extra towels if you plan on using the amenities, such as the pool and Jacuzzis. We do not supply pool towels. We do not provide you with paper products, soaps, or cleaning supplies.
We ask our guests to prepare the unit for departure by emptying the refrigerator, removing all trash and placing it in the dumpster outside (downstairs in the dumpster) and washing all dishes. Failure to remove all trash and food in fridge from the unit or leaving dirty dishes will result in security deposit charges. You do not need to clean the unit before leaving (for example scrubbing sinks, tub, etc,) this is done after you leave. You do need to do the list above.
There can be no additions to existing furnishings in the condo. Our condominium is fully furnished and equipped with pots, pans, blender, toaster, microwave, dishes and flatware. You are renting a privately-owned condo. It has been decorated and equipped to satisfy our particular taste and desires however, we have kept you the guest in mind. The condition of the unit is newly renovated in winter of 2019 and its furnishings also reflect our tastes and desires, therefore, please do not rearrange the furniture or take any items outside, or into another condo. We understand if your family is renting multiple condos, however, please make sure that all items including quilts, throws, blankets, kitchen items, cookware, and utensils are retained in our home. Loss of items will result in loss of security/damage deposit.
We have our personal things locked in a closet for our convenience. These areas are absolutely not included in the rental. If doors are damaged or locks broken or removed security damages will apply.
From time to time, it may be necessary for us or Pinnacle Inn maintenance to enter the units during reasonable hours to perform minor repairs. It is not always possible to call ahead and notify you in advance of these visits. Please feel free to call the front desk of the Pinnacle Inn when someone arrives at the door to do work to check and make sure they are indeed who they say they are for your own safety.
If you damage anything in the unit, please notify the front office of the Pinnacle Inn immediately. Do not wait until departure. In general, leave the property the way you found it. While we realize that accidents do occur, there is a replacement or repair cost to us the owner. We do not enjoy holding security deposits but may find it necessary if damage occurs and check-out procedures are not followed promptly and correctly.
All mail sent to guests will be held at the front office of the Pinnacle Inn awaiting guest pickup. It is important to include the property name and/or unit number in addition to the guest’s name. Please check with the front office periodically if you are expecting mail. There is a land line phone in our condo, and we ask no long-distance calls should be charged directly to the phone. This is a phone for our personal use and for the front office to reach you if they need to. No long distance calls may be placed and will result in a loss of the security/damage deposit, however, feel free to make local calls if needed.
The Pinnacle Inn and we the homeowners are not responsible for any personal items left in the units. If you request us or Pinnacle Inn to pick up and mail any items left in the unit, they will be returned to you at your expense, via credit card.
Although every effort has been made for accuracy, we the home owners and Pinnacle Inn are not responsible for errors on the website. All descriptions and rates are subject to correction or change without notice. We are also not responsible for any changes Pinnacle Inn Resort makes without our knowledge.
PINNACLE INN AND WE THE HOMEOWNERS , RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ISSUE REFUND, REFUSE RENTAL OR DISCONTINUE OCCUPANCY IF, IN THE AGENT’S OPINION, TENANT IS DETRIMENTAL TO PROPERTY.

There is also an All Seasons Center at the Pinnacle Inn plus outside actives which you are free to use. Please note no BBQ grills or smokers of any kind can be used inside or outside on the balcony. There is however, several charcoal grills and picnic tables around the resort you are free to use.
Our Mountain View Condo is located in the Pinnacle Inn in Beech Mountain, NC. and within walking distance of Banner Elk, NC. Our condo is 1.5 miles from Beech Mountain Ski Resort, 17 miles to Boone, NC, 18 miles to Blowing Rock, and 16 miles to Grandfather Mountain, Plus the most iconic pieces of the Blue Ridge Parkway can be found in this area, and many more surrounding towns with great things to see and do.
Our unit is on the 2nd floor and none of the Pinnacle Inn has elevators, therefore, for our friends who have trouble walking up steps or are in wheelchairs we do not have accommodations to get you to the 2nd floor other than taking the flight of stairs. Our unit is also not wheelchair accessible.
We are the owners of the condo at the Pinnacle Inn at Beech Mountain, NC we however also use a property management company to rent our vacation rental as well as rent the property ourselves. Therefore in order for us to not double book please use the contact us form and fill in the dates you are wanting to stay. We will then receive your email personally and check with the property manamgent company to see if those dates are available and the cost to rent. We will then email you back with the information.
